Can you guys give me some helpful careers advice?

Given how far you have come already I think you will regret not finishing off with the LPC.This will give you time to continue pursuing a training contract.It will also give you many more options when you get it.Don't get bogged down in the "who you know not what you know" frame of mind. It does exist but it is not the end of the world if you persevere.Good luck.
