I own a duplex and one smokes inside while the other does not. How can I keep the smell from coming thru..?

I don't want to ask the one side not to smoke, I feel it is their right. But what can I do to keep the smell from the other side. Would some kind of filtration system work? Is there anyway to seal off the units better? Anyone have this sort of problem that has found a solution?
