Why are all people against gay marriage umed to be anti-gay?

I don't think that it's all people against same y marriage are anti-gay. The thing is, by not allowing same couples to marry or at least have the same protective rights under a civil union, same families are unprotected. What happens if your partner gets in a awful accident and the hospital won't allow you to see them because they don't have to, your relationship isn't recognized. What if you had been together for over 30 years and built a life, a home and your partner ped away. All the things the two of you have together could be lost. You could have no right to anything even planning a funeral or worse attending one, if the family didn't want you there. What if the two of you had children. Say you went through the steps so that the child would be your partner's biological child and he ped away. The child could be taken from you! Sure there are lots of things you can do to protect yourselves from many of these horrific consequences, but all the legal work would cost thousands and isn't always iron clad! All of these stressful issues that are freely protected with the rights of heteroual marriages. It's more then having to pay a grand for a name change. It's about family and protection.
