Has anyone had their wedding at Jalousie Plantation in St. Lucia?

We are planning our wedding for next June in Soufriere, St. Lucia. There will probably be close to 45 people in our group. We are still trying to make a solid decision as to where we will be staying, and where the ceremony and reception will be held. Most likely, it will be Jalousie Plantation (our next choice would be Anse Chastanet.) After spending a lot of time researching the resorts and reading reviews, I have found so many mixed feelings about the place. I wanted to ask someone who has been married at Jalousie or been there attending a wedding. How are the rooms and which did you stay in? I've come across some terrible reviews regarding the room conditions, and wasn't sure if this had to do with the remodeling/renovations going on, etc. Did you purchase a wedding DVD? A photographer? Were the services worth it? Do any of the rooms have kitchens, or is there any way to make your own food to avoid eating at the restaurants every day? Anything you wish you had known or brought with you to make things easier? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!
