What birthcontrol pills can I take? Any suggestions? ?

I had the Para guard IUD for 5 yrs and I had a period every two wks. I was told it would let up but it didn't I just had it removed 09/11/08 and am now searching for another method of birth control. I am currently taking prednisone so i'm looking for birth control that will work with prednisone. Any suggestions?
