Why would they give antibiotics for rabies? Is that not a viral infection?

Most cases of rabies are from animal bites bites however there are some cases where people have gotten rabies fron corneal transplants. Rabies is a viral infection right? So when they give antibiotics, what are they for? Seeing as how antibiotics work on bacterial infections. With a bite, I understand the use of antibiotics, but in the cases where it was not from an animal bite it just made me wonder. I'm just having a moment of curiosity I guess lol
