Should I be mad or am I being unreasonable?

A few weeks ago I had to have my dog put down. After the ER and vet bills, I was out about $1700.00 and I was mouring my "Abbey". The very next day my refrigerator broke (so I thought) My boss said it would be cheaper to buy a new one vs having this one fixed. I purchased a new one $1000.00 and had it delivered the next day. I had taken out all the shelves from the old frig and decided to keep them as they also fit my new frig. My boss called and wanted my old frig and try to say that he was saving me money by him taking it instead of the people who delivered my frig. I told him that he could have. Now he wants the shelves. He said it's worthless without the shelves. He has also told me that it's just the fan motor that went out which cost about 100.00 to fix. He said that I knew he wanted it to make extra money. I feel like he has taken advantage of me at a time when I was mourning. I'm mad over this.Should I be? Should I give him the shelves? Am I being unreasonable?
