Are Americans aware of how extremely right wing their Country is?

Why doesn't America have a left wing party as an answer to their right wing party? Let's see, you have two political parties that cover just one political purview. Not one of your parties in your country fought for socialized health care or gay marriage, as just two examples. The supposed party which represents all people and was in charge for two years did not get health care ped until much later on, and it was not a government mandate. It is a watered down mess of a bill that does nothing at all to change your status quo. It seems as though the far right wing party says to jump, and the other right wing party says how high? Our main right wing political party, Union pour un Mouvement Populaire is actually to the left of what you call a "democratic party". Sarkozy, our Prime Minister is of the UMP. Jacques Chirac was also of the same political party here. By the way, our major right wing party advertises itself as liberal conservatism. When was the last time an American political stood proud of his liberalism, which built your middle cl, gave your women the right to vote, freed your blacks?
